Description

The University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology (UMMP) invertebrate collection includes over 85,000 cataloged specimen lots and houses upwards of 3 million. These include Paleozoic invertebrates (particularly those from the Michigan Basin region), Mesozoic mollusks from the Western Interior Seaway, and Neogene mollusks from the southeastern United States. Additionally, 75% of the collection by volume is in the stratigraphic collection with approximately 50% being regional Middle Devonian material.Records for a portion of the cataloged specimens are represented here.
